Hey, my fellow artsy painters
I'm Dominique, a.k.a dom,
and I’m here to bring some creativity into your life.
I started my Artsy journey in elementary school. My first big artsy project was when I was chosen to be apart of painting a mural on Burger King window, when I was in the first grade! I continued my Artsy Journey through middle school and Highschool. I went to Henrico High School, part time. I was enrolled in the Center for the Art’s Program. Where I had a 90 minute Art class every day. My days in class consist of painting with oil and acrylic paints, shading, and pottery! Which was the highlight of my day and help me express myself and explore my imagination and uniqueness. I used art as an intervention to resolve conflicts and distress. Art has always held a special place in my heart. Where I’ve always had a dream of figuring a way to use my talent and creativity to my life.
Fast forward to now, I work in the Mental Health field. I own two mental health agencies one in Richmond, VA and in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have a degree in Human Services and I’m a license QMHP – Qualified Mental Health Professional. I work with children that have mental health diagnoses that present defiant behaviors. Art therapy is an intervention that I use to engaged with my clients, to help them open and express themselves. Which aids with improving cognitive and sensorimotor functions. Fostering self-esteem and self-awareness which cultivate emotional resilience. Art Therapy, aids in resolving conflicts and distress when angry and frustrated. Art Therapy is a way to redirect an issue and bring yourself into a positive mood. Art is a positive way for anyone to relax, sooth the mind and express the mind.
Were here to bring an Artsy Environment to Richmond, VA, to come relax and distress for adults and children. My dream was to always open an art studio. I would like to introduce my partners. The Artsy Sisters, which consist of my daughter and God-daughter Nova aka Princess and Justiss aka Sunshine. These sisters have help me come up with the most Artsy Ideas. The Artsy sisters love using art to express themselves and their own individual creativity. Artsy Imagination is more than just Art; it’s an experience like no other. It’s about bringing people together, creating memories and celebrating the joy of an Artsy Lifestyle. Whether you’re looking to indulge in a cozy gathering with friends, a celebration of milestones, or simply wanting to explore your imagination. Come and join me and the Artsy Sisters for an Artsy Experience! Which we will offer painting Artsy Figures and making Artsy Pottery, with many more artsy crafts soon! We will also be offering Artsy wine and champagne with our services soon!
